Sorry our March Retired set competition is a bit late. I wondered if I had been scammed but they have arrived. Using the request a prize function on the website does work. You guys have been requesting Lord of the Rings sets and someone recently specifically asked for 9474 The Battle of Helms Deep. Well here it is. If you win this competition you win both sets. So let me tell you what we grabbed for you.
LEGO 9474 The Lord Of The Rings The Battle of Helm’s Deep. This looks like a real fun build and if you let the kids near this they would have so much fun. The set comes with 8 Minifigures which are, Gimli, King Theoden, Haldir, Aragorn, Uruk-hai X 2 with armour, 1 Uruk-hai without armour and finally 1 more Uruk-hai with a helmet. The website Brickeconomy says these figures are worth around £237 on their own. WOW. You also get a horse and loads of weapons for the minifigures. The set was only on sale from May 2012 to November 2013 which is quite a short run. The set has 1368 pieces and the box is actually quite large. There are interactive moving sections to the set also. This set being over 12 years old does have a few bumps and bruises on the box but we hope you open and enjoy it anyway. These sets were £99.99 when on sale but are generally now worth around £400-450. Not an easy purchase. This is classed as a 10-14 age range set.
LEGO 79003 The Hobbit an Unexpected Gathering. This set looks lovely and quite colourful. It comes with 6 Minifigures which are Gandalf The Grey, Bilbo Baggins, Balin The Dwarf, Dwalin The Dwarf, Bofur The Dwarf and finally Bombur The Dwarf. There are some great beards amongst that lot. The website Brickeconomy says these Minifigures are worth around £160 on their own. This set was for sale between November 2012 and December 2014. It was only £59.99 back then but now they are worth around £250-275. The set has 652 pieces. It is classed as a 9-14 age range set.
We hope you like them.
There are no instant wins with this set. LEGO don’t even do any LOTR Brickheadz any more. We have just tried to keep your odds low.
Please make sure to read and answer the competition question carefully or your entries will not count. We don’t want any disappointment. If you are thinking of grabbing more than 1 entry maybe just grab 1 to make sure your answer is correct then grab the others. Entry numbers are allocated at random by the website anyway. The competition will run to the end date however if the competition sells out we reserve the right to find our winner early. We will always announce this on Instagram and Facebook and maybe via email if we do an early draw. Please try to follow us on Social Media and you will never miss a thing.
Every entry you grab with us helps us raise money for the National Autistic Society and hopefully future employment for our Autistic son. You have helped us raise over £10,000 in 2024 for the NAS so thank you, we very much appreciate your support, and the NAS Love you too. The campaign to raise more in 2025 has already had a strong start and by supporting us we will be able to raise a lot more. Thank You.
We look forward to finding the forever home for these sets. Good Luck everyone.
